Lately

I really haven't done much quilting lately.  I'm working on some curtains for a friend, and I spend the rest of my free time on the computer.  I've been learning how to use Inkscape to create vector graphics for fabric designs.  It's great for me because it's free (yay!) and there are plenty of tutorials to go with it.  Right up my alley.

I'm not sure what to call all these prints, but I think I like them.  I think.

Maybe I'll order some of this fabric and make something.  Who knows!?

Craft Table Fame

Last year, my dear husband made me a wonderful craft table from plans we found on this wonderful little blog called Knock-Off Wood.  Since then, that little blog has exploded into quite a popular site, Ana-White.com.

The other day, my husband was looking for another DIY furniture plan by Ana White, and found (to his delight) the picture of our craft table on her Plan Catalog page!

It just amazes me how quickly my sewing room went from this...

to this...

Fresh and Funky- January

This month is my month in the Fresh and Funky Bee!  I made a few inspiration blocks, cut out a ton of fabric, and made the guy at the post office hate me.
No, not really.  I do think that he could see me and my 14 packages coming from a mile away, but he was very nice about it.  The people in line behind me might not have been so happy.  I tried not to look...

I can't wait to see what everyone does with the fabric I sent!

Fresh and Funky-

November?

...Yeah, these blocks are from November.

As it does from time to time, life happened, and sewing didn't.  If you'd like to know more, here's what happened.  If not, no worries.  I'm doing well now, and I'm ready to get back to the total obsession pastime I enjoy so much! :)

November was Maria of Me and Ma's month, and she sent out some great fabric.  She wanted Christmas blocks to make quilts for each of her kids.  So sweet!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!  Here's to 2011 and new beginnings!
